What is a strategic plan?
A Strategic plan is a guide for an organization's future policy directions and budget decisions. Strategic plans usually include a vision statement, organizational mission, core values, goals and measurable objectives.
Why do we need to update the County's strategic plan?
County leadership, including staff and elected officials, is dedicated to providing the highest quality of life for Solano County residents. The County has made substantial progress on its objectives and achieved significant results over the past two to three years, in part due to the focus provided by its strategic planning efforts. With so many of the actions from the previous plan completed, the County is ready to reflect on its progress, update the objectives and identify actions for the next two to three years. Staff will provide quarterly reports to describe the progress they are making on the objectives.
How do I use this website?
Currently, the website is intended to be an information sharing tool for County staff and elected officials who are participating in the development of the updated plan. We will continue to add resource documents, meeting summaries and related materials to the site. Once the plan is completed, we anticipate re-organizing the information on the site to help the public stay informed regarding our progress on implementing the plan.
